Fix the Edging Landscaping Bricks

Image
1 2 The landscaping bricks on the west side of the Worship Center need to be set upright. Picture one shows the bricks that have been fixed. Picture 2 shows the rest of the bricks that need to be dug up and placed upright.

Sift Rock

Image
1 2 3 4   5 6 Sifting the old rock beds is labor-intensive and requires a few steps. (1) Find a rock bed that is full of weeds. It shouldn't be too hard. They are everywhere. (2) Get a shovel, wheelbarrow, and a sifter. Place about 4 shovels worth of rock into the sifter. Move the sifter back and forth and remove weeds/trash until it looks like picture 3. Picture 4 shows the dirt and rocks smaller than 1/2 inch that fell through the sifter. Dispose of this on the rock pile. (5) Put down new landscaping fabric in the rock beds and pour sifted rock on new fabric until it looks like picture 6.  This is a good job for 2 or more people. Try to find a rock bed that will allow you to work in the shade for a while. Some of the islands on the north side of the building have been sifted. Pretty much all other rock beds around the building also need to be sifted.

Grass Trimming (Onging)

Connect with Andrew Gladfelter to get on the grass trimming schedule.

Trim Bushes

Image
Grab the hedge trimmer or the hand trimmers to trim bushes. The east and south side of the gym have the greatest need for a trim right now.  The south side of the church building has several bushes that need to be trimmed.

Clean Around New Lights

Image
Grab a magic eraser, bucket of water, and a ladder. Clean the dirt ring around the new lights under the overhangs.

Weed Landscaping (Ongoing)

Image
We need a lot of help with weeding. We need to weed starting with the areas of our landscaping that is closest to the main entrances and main parking. We can also pull the weeds that come up in the cracks of the parking lot and sidewalk.

Replace Siding

Image
We have extra siding in the garage. It may look best to put all new siding on the face of this awning so it matches. Grab a ladder and replace the siding on the east side of the gym.

Clean/Rake Leaves Out of Bushes

Image
Grab a rake and a garden bag. Rake out leaves from landscaping and bushes around the building.

Pick-Up Sticks

Image
Pick-up all sticks on the property and place them in the fire pit.

Clean Carpet Stains

Image
Use the carpet cleaner to clean stains in the carpet.

Cut-Off Dead Parts of Plants & Trees

Image
Grab some cutting shears and cut off dead parts of plants. Also, cut off new shoots of growth on trees on the property.

Mow Grass (Ongoing)

Image
Talk to Andrew Gladfelter about mowing and getting onto the schedule for the year.

Pick Up Trash (Ongoing)

Grab a trash bag and pick up trash on property, in roads (carefully!), and in the tall grasses surrounding our property.

Weed Trail

Image
Use the ice scrapers to cut weeds off at ground level. Collect all the weeds from trail and dispose of them in the yard waste section. 1/3 of the trail still needs to be weeded.
